Currently on the work bench - AWI British Command

AWI British Command from Perry Miniatures.

Love these figures, painted up very quickly, just the basing takes time.

Painted in quick style (white under coat, base colours, ink, then highlights, no eyes). These have had their first coat of varnish (gloss) and base started.
Photographs of finished figures will appear soon....

The Beginning and what's in name?

After many years of reading blogs I've finally decided to have a go at creating one myself.

The blog will follow as best I can my progress (or lack of it) in my wargames projects in the hope that it will give me a little focus.

So, what's in a name?
I didn't give much thought to this to be honest, for me it was quite obvious as I'm always short of command bases for my wargames armies. It's the one thing I keep putting off. So part of my focus will be getting some command bases complete.

I have many varied gaming interests; though my current interest is the 18th century; collecting a WSS French army, 1745 Jacobites, AWI British.

Rules to be used will be Black Powder and Beneath the Lilly Banners.
28mm figures from Front Rank for WSS, Crann Tara Miniatures for the Jacobites, and a mix of Perry Miniatures and Front Rank for the AWI.

Other gaming interests are (though not in any particular order) -

28mm WWII
Ancients
ECW

All will get a showing at some point as I flutter between painting projects.....
