Churchill's Regiment of Foot "The Buffs"
The third battalion in my WSS British army is Churchill's Regiment of Foot "The Buffs". Figures are 28mm from Front Rank Figurines and the flags are from Maverick Models.
As usual I've included a group shot of the army as it grows. There are more on the painting table as I'm having a bit of an 18th Century revival. There will also be Prussians and Dutch to come as well as more British and French, the first Prussian unit is nearly complete.

Zulu
Some additions to my Anglo-Zulu War British force, the larger unit of 16 are 28mm Wargames Foundry and are painted as the 80th Foot; the 8 figure unit are 28mm Empress Miniatures and painted as the 24th Foot. These will be increased to 16 figures when the next batch is completed.
A point of interest to a few might be that NorthStar Miniatures are republishing Death in the Dark Continent rules by Chris Peers, watch out for the now famous Nickstarters. I haven't played the rules but having only heard good things and given Mr Peers pedigree as a rules author I'll be ordering my copy sooner than later.
I've included pictures below of my British at to date.

IR18 Regt Prussian 7YW
The start of a new army, this time a Prussian army for the Seven Years War. The intention is to build infantry battalions of 18 figures in the 3 stand format, and cavalry squadrons of 6 figures. This should enable a good number of units to fit the available gaming area. The base sizes are smaller than I'm using for my WSS collection and are 50mm x 50mm.
The first unit painted is IR Regiment 18, Prinz von Preußen, the figures are 28mm Front Rank Figurines and the flags are from GMB Designs.
They served in a number of engagements during the course of the war, of most interest to me is the Battle of Zorndorf (1758) as my wargaming opponent is building a Russian army.

Webb's Regiment of Foot
I've made a little progress on my WSS British army, the second unit painted is Webb's Regiment of Foot (8th). The figures are 28mm Front Rank Figurines, and the flags are from Maverick Models.
I'm making slow if steady progress on my WSS armies, as well as progressing other painting projects. I've started another 18th century army, the first unit will be shown in my next post, and made a return to the Zulu War in the form of a few units for the British (primarily because these are easy to paint quickly and will result in a game as I have Zulu forces waiting to wash their spears).
