Saxons 1066 - The mustering of the Fyrd

My wargaming partner in crime Peter (aka armchairsaxon in forum land), asked me to paint a final (?) 48 Saxons to finish off his army and pictured below are the results.
The figures are 28mm Crusader Miniatures, it's the first time I've painted these particular figures, and they were nice to paint.
Sometime over the Christmas period they'll be marching off to join Earldorman Peter, for basing and hopefully fulfil their feudal duty.
