Regiment Lee

Some 18th Century love on a Sunday afternoon. 28mm Front Rank figurines with Maverick Models flags painted as the Regiment Lee, Irish in French service. The Irish are a must have in a French army for a number of reasons, but if for no other than a little splash of colour in a sea of grey.

I feel I've neglected my WSS on the painting table of late, having concentrated on other subjects (Crimean War at the fore), but rest assured there are lots more waiting for the brush.

    1. Thanks Mike, appreciate your comment. I haven't managed to game with the WSS collection yet, in the process of building forces. I do plan on using Beneath the Lily Banners 2 and Black Powder for games, though I'm open to any other rules that may be recommended.

  3. I'm using Honours of war rules ( from Osprey) with the WSS mods from the Honours website, highly recommended for a very good game.B/Powder doesn't quite cut it for me with this period.

Honours uses units of 20 based in fours, which is nice!

    1. Hi Mike, sorry for the late reply. I do like Honours of War, have used them for AWI games with a friend who made some modifications. I might given them a go with the WSS collection.

      Cheers
