Ancient British

A return to historical figures after Frostgrave and Beyond the Gates of Antares. I took the oportunity of taking some pictures of my Ancient British army when setting up a small gaming table for a few skirmish games with my children.

The figures were painted by myself many years ago, and have been rebased recently to the format you now see. They were originally based for Warhammer Ancient Battles, I find it hard to believe looking back that I really enjoyed moving all those singly based figures! Still enjoy it I did.

The figures themselves are 28mm and a mix of Wargames Foundry and Gripping Beast. There are two versions of Boudicca one from each manufacturer. I still have a decent stock pile of figures to paint up to expand this army further. All the shields are hand painted.

The table is covered on the Cigar Box Battle mat, Europe just fields.
